    ...and then closed and sutured.

In the summer of 2012 I had a colon resection done in America. I will be covering old ground (metaphorically speaking). I have an abdominal hernia that needs to be repaired. This time it will be here in China.

Yes, the surgeon will recarve my old incisional line. Talk about fun!

So I would appreciate prayers. It took me quite a while to get in the swing of things last time. and I'm not getting any younger. But on the bright side, I know what to expect...sort of. For the second time it will not be laparoscopic. The surgeon is dying to get his hands in there --he showed his enthusiasm.

Anyone in the mood for puns?

I must have a lot of guts.

Rippon is really gonna rip it up.

    Talk about intestinal fortitude!

    I'll be divided asunder.

    I'm such a cutup.

Praying for God's guiding hand, Rippon.

When I had my c-sections, the doctor always cut out the old incision and the old scar tissue. It worked out really well for me - although I DID have an 8 lb. something baby pulled out each time so I was a bit sore. ;)

:praying: Brother .... you have my most sincere concerns and prayers. I know God has a reason for everything, it's just knowing ourselves what that reason is! Glad to see you so upbeat, if that counts for anything, you should be back to the forum in no time! :praying:

    SHALOM! :praying:

Thanks for the prayers everyone. I had the surgery last week. It was successful, but not easy. I can go into more detail at another time.

I am recovering with the care of some American Christians.I have some pain issues DUH!

My energy level is low. But the Lord is always merciful.

Well this marks one month since my second abdominal surgery. (Get ready.) I don't know if I could stomach another operation. ;-)

I'm coming along okay. I have to wear a binder around my midsection for another five months. I'll get a bit of a reprieve starting in mid-April. That's when I get to take it off when sleeping.

My abdominal fascia is weak. There were four holes, or gaps in it. So mesh was placed in and connected to the former gaps. I'm all sewn up but the binder keeps things reinforced. I don't want to face another abdominal hernia again.

Hope the Lord brings healing to you quickly so you can get back to your daily life. There must be pain involved. It makes me ache just reading your posts. God bless you as you recover.
