Jack Smith drops all charges against DJT

Special prosecutor Jack Smith has moved to drop all remaining charges against Trump concerning the Jan 6 riot.

Will the judge agree? Hard to say.

I predicted all the “lawfare charges” would be dismissed or overturned. One by one, they are going away.

With luck, a fair and objective review of the obvious politicization of the justice system will result in criminal charges against those who weaponized the legal system for political purposes.

Additionally, to all the drive by posters who who gleefully predicted DT would go to jail. I suggest going to your safe space and curling up with a teddy bear.

Peace to you

Prosecutors are not going to go away so easily.
Many large cities that went for Harris contain the justice systems for the States.
The Dem's hounded him during his presidency last time, they'll continue to hound him now.
One by one the Dems will attempt to embarrass vulnerable Republicrats so that the Senate will not be able to pass any meaningful changes.

I can see them quickly erasing Trump's name from the charges (after all he is protected for the next 4 years) and busily writing in those people who Trump is nominating.

yes they will obstruct and derail as much as they can, and it'll be v 2.0 if the Democrats somehow squirn themselves into control of Congress in a little over two years from now - stupid impeachment charges and all. Jack didn't really have much choice after the SCOTUS immunity ruling. I think he just did it now to hope to get in Trump's good graces before he is sworn in again. He will probably hightail it back to the Hague.

Part of me wants payback, but I don't think I'd really mind if Trump issued a full and blanket pardon to not only Hunter, but to his daddy and Jack Smith. Unite!

The abuse of the legal system is something like we've never seen and those doing it are worse than common criminals, they dishonor the justice they are sworn to and trusted to uphold, I'd like to see some examples made out of some of them and many of them fired.
