Jenner could be charged with manslaughter

"Driving too fast for conditions" is a standard and viable charge in California. Usually, the conditions are not ice rather they are rain and fog. In the Central Valley, visibility can be down to almost zero.

The charge is involuntary manslaughter" and is a misdemeanor not a felony. The Pacific Coast Highway is not a flat and straight piece of road, unlike a coast highway say in Florida. It hugs the Coast Range of mountains and is full of blind curves.
"manslaughter" - think about it.

While this is a possibility, charging him with manslaughter .... my only question is, how can they charge Bruce Jenner (a male at the time), who has since changed genders physically and in legal name?

The man that hit the woman no longer exists, technically speaking!

If you drove in California's weather and road condition, you'd understand the charge. For example coastal morning fog can be dangerous. And then there are the blind curves on the mountain and coastal roads.

All that being said, I doubt then DA will bring charges. There was a drunk (not Jenner) involved. But formalities need to be observed. The dead woman's family is suing Jenner for wrongful death.
Well, I stand corrected. You learn something new that you don't like about California every day.

As was noted in the Teapot Dome scandal where the Secretary of Interior was sent to prison for accepting a bribe but the man giving the bribe was found innocent, "It's hard to convict a million dollars."

California just legalized and set codes in place to make the motorcycle "lane-splitting" with autos officially a law! It is scary to be driving along and have a truck or car in the next lane and then have a motorcycle speed by between us. And now, what was accepted for a life time, is now a law? Yes, Cali is a weird place, but most of this state is liberal, so what the heck!
