JESUS CHRIST THE HIGH PRIEST

Hebrews 2.
In this chapter Paul connecting Spiritual Being of Christ as the Son of GOD, with the earthly physical Jesus Christ, pointing out that the GOD Father made His Son Jesus Christ lower than angels (7.9). It means making His Son as the earthly man in physical flesh, crowned with glory and honor of GOD, and appointed by His Father over all the works of His Father. In this sense it means that Jesus, even in His flesh was appointed by His Father as the Ruler, King, and Teacher of His Gospel all over the world, but not everyone yet is subjected to Him (7-8).

Isaiah 66.1
1. Thus says the Lord, "Heaven is My throne and the Earth is My footstool." (Isaiah 60.13, 66.1) (Matthew 5.35) (Psalm 99.5, 132.7) (Ezekiel 43.7).

This plan of GOD also will test the intelligence and faith of the people who knowing about Jesus Christ in flesh would believe that He is the true Son of GOD and long waited Messiah. By this action of His GOD Father, Jesus will divide the world on "sheep" and on "goats." GOD Father made His Son Jesus Christ as One Special Sheep (the Lamb of GOD) Who was silent as a sheep when He was taken to the slaughter and tasted Death for everyone on Earth (9). The Jesus-Sheep-Lamb died for His flock of sheep (for all those who follow Him, the Christians) in order that after His death, the Shepherd Jesus Christ will gather to Himself His sheep Israel and all other sheep from Gentiles who followed Him faithfully, to save them for the new world to come. GOD does not need "goats," they will be taken outside the "camp" as unclean (Numbers 5.1-3), they are not worthy to be in His Kingdom (Hebrews 1.2, 2.7-9) (John 1.3) (Acts 2.22) (1Corinthians 8.6) (Colossian 1.16-17) (Hebrews 1.2, 2.7-9).

Verse 10 revealed again that everything that ever created was created for Christ and through Christ (John 1.3) (Acts 2.22) (1Corinthians 8.6) (Colossian 1.16-17) (Hebrews 1.2-3, 2.10), and verse 11 reveal that whoever with Christ, he or she joined His Family, because all are who in Christ, all are adapted by the Father of Christ as His children. Whoever has GOD Father as their Father, also has and His Son as their Brother, and all of them become as one family with GOD (12-13).

In verse 17 Jesus called as "Merciful and Faithful High Priest." Why is He called as the High Priest? Because Jesus fulfill the Law of Moses, presented Himself as the Sacrifice for the sake of humanity, to redeem all those who are with Him, and by His Blood to make cleansing and anointment for the sins of the world, in order to save as many as possible, and give chance to those who does not know Him yet. Jesus Christ became everything in One, the Sacrifice, the Priest, and the Blood of Atonement, and for these reasons He deserve the Title of the High Priest, the Priest Who never dies but serves forever (Hebrews 2.17, 4.14-15, 5.1-10, 6.19-20, 7.11-28, 8.1-5, 9.11-12). So, Jesus became the High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek and Law of Moses. Because of it, animal sacrifices no longer need to be offered, neither any need any more in human high priest, nor the Temple.

Verse 18 shows that Jesus also was tempted by the Devil, like everyone else on Earth, and for this reason no one can accuse Him of lacking understanding of human temptations and sufferings. Jesus went through all His temptations and sufferings as a true Man of GOD, always fully relying of His Heavenly Father Who gave Him strength and power to withstand all the adversities what came against Him.

So, Jesus Christ understands very well what it means to be human and facing adversities and temptations of this world and physical flesh, because He had experience all of it Himself.
