Hi Andrew17, thanks for sharing your analysis of some of the stories used to relate spiritual truths, whether historical or parable.
I only skimmed your "Walking on the Sea" clip which said the sea "represented" Jesus not sinking into sin. Christ's miracles provided authentication that Jesus was the Messiah, and so that should be included in our understanding of the text. Next is the lesson that we can accomplish much through faith, and without faith we will sink. And third, we can rely on Christ, now and forever.

The first one - Jesus walking on the water.

1. It is only 24 seconds on with six slides leaving each slide about 4 seconds for viewing. Each slide contains lots of words. I am a speed reader and could not read everything. Maybe do it again with a longer viewing time on each slide.

2. The story of Jesus walking on the water is NOT a parable. Jesus literally walked on top of the water. It's a real story.

For the first point, I hit the pause button to read the words. It's something I do all the time when I'm dealing with a subtitled foreign language video.

In this wonderful account of the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ as recorded in the Gospels (Matthew 14; Mark 6, etc), we read of Jesus' words to His Disciples to assure them, "But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

The English translations do not rightly represent the Greek, which is "ἐγώ εἰμι", that is, "take heart, I AM...". Which is the Name of Yahweh as seen in Exodus 3:14, and John 8:24, 58, etc.
