I still believe there was more to this than we will ever know in this life.

I still believe there was a shooter on the grassy knoll.

Now that some records are made public, it is quite amazing to learn we had a Cuban missle crisis and the leader of the free world was making literal life and death decisions for the nation from a mind clouded with a host of narcotics and other medications. Great.

 

The BBC did a number of documentaries on JFK last year. In one of them a good case was made that there was absolutely nothing mysterious about the assasination.

 

I cannot remember the author's name, but his book is entitled Case Closed. It is the best treatment of the evidence for a single assassin and the best job of systematically debunking any and all conspiracy theories. Read it and you'll enjoy hearty laughs while watching Oliver Stone's JFK!

 

There is a book out by Barr McClellan (spelling?) called Blood, Money, and Power. I have not read the book, but it has a different conspiracy theory than Oliver Stone.

I heard him on a radio station and thought he sounded somewhat plausible. I am not saying that I believe what he said, only that it seemed much more plausible than Stone's conspiracy.

Has anyone heard of or read this book? I would like to get other's opinions before I purchase the book.

There was a documentary last year for the 40th Anniversary, I believe hosted by Peter Jennings on ABC.

It is the best I've seen to offer that Oswald was in fact the lone gunman, and that there was nothing magical at all about the magic bullet.

In the documentary, there was an ex sharp shooter who was able to demonstrate how Oswald could pull of those shots. It really would not have been that hard for a trained sniper, which Oswald was. There was an absolutely clear, unobstructed view from the window and the motorcade was only traveling about 20 mph.

The sad thing is, the fact that Kennedy was wearing a back brace to help his back pain is what caused him to stay upright, rather than falling over after the serious, but possibly non-fatal, shot to the back and throat area. Had he been able to keel over, the headshot would never have come.

 

JFK, like Lincoln, was killed before he had to settle the mess he made.
