My problem isn’t so much the living standard, as it is the excuse of the unrighteous folks to give place to the devil.

 

It’s his money. I don’t care how he spends it, really. Not my business.

The “anti-prosperity” preacher, I would guess is not that people shouldn’t have money, but that certain charismatic groups declare God wants you to be rich and if you buy their books, tapes, videos, they’ll show you how to get rich. They make a link between salvation and God blessing you financially.

MacAuthor makes the link between salvation and living a Godly life in Christ Jesus.

One is biblical and one is not.

Joyce Meyers will never come close to understanding scripture as well as MacAuthor.

I can't help but wonder what 'Pastor Salty' would do with that kind of income.

 

He would buy Mrs. Salty a two story mobile …..you know….for people who have money.

 

I saw a YouTube video where the Apostle of WoF, Kenneth Copeland, had a "word of knowledge" that the Lord wanted to make 3 people there billionaires, and he stated that he already was one of them!

 

the BIG difference between Dr mac and WoF heretics is that he never taught the scriptures as the means to "get rich quick and write your own ticket with God". as they all do!

 

Was King David's wealth a scandal? How about Daniel's wealth? Was Esther's wealth a scandal?

The question I ask is this: Is John MacArthur preaching the gospel with all truth and sincerity? If so, I will not succumb to envy at his temporal and earthly wealth. I don't care if he is the richest man in the world or the poorest. I care that he preaches Christ and Christ crucified.

 

He seems to have had the goal to get out the truths of the scriptures in order to glorify Lord Jesus, and to equip and mature the saints, unlike those in Wof!

 

First, Jon only earns a small percentage of his money directly from ministry.
Secondly, Mac does not preach against wealth. He preaches against tying the Gospel to wealth.

yes ... this is the problem with envy. It just launches like an August grassfire in Texas. Witchhunts.

I've watched and read "Johnny Mac" and have been blessed by his bringing the Truth. His handling of the LA county CV buffoonery was masterful ... clearly God-led. Their church website still has their declaration on the home page of being unafraid and resisting tyranny; which is what LA has demonstrated.

I also know MacArthur is "just a man." Fallible ... selfish. We need to be very very careful about our fruit inspection lest we make ourselves more than that. There's only one Judge.
