    John McCain, you know the one who can't use a computer because of his war injuries, he is now twittering via a Blackberry. Welcome to the world of technology Sen. McCain... :thumbsup:

    Because during the campaign his injuries were used as the reason he doesn't use technology. People making statements like he can't lift his arms over his head which is why he can't use a computer. It appears he can use technology and seems to be enjoying it as a vehicle to spread is anti-pork agenda.

    Using a Blackberry and using a PC are two entirely different things. And his daughter Meghan does a lot of that for him from what I've read. I bristle at those on the left who take any chance they can to take a potshot at someone who sacrificed a lot for his country, even if I don't agree with his politics.

    I believe McCain just used the supposed war injuries to garner sympathy votes during the election. Typical republican.

    McCain may not be doing his own tweets - someone could enter them for him. Or he could use a voice program. I had one that I used when I broke my right wrist.

    that said, the keyboard is much easier than the blackberry and the messages on twitter are rather short.

    You mean like anyone who endured the sacrifice of the campaign trail and the criticism of public office to offer themselves to the people as their servant? You made a profound statement if only we could apply it universally. :thumbsup:

    "They" say he is doing them himself though admittedly with help at this point. I'm actually proud to see him come out of his comfort zone and embrace technology. I have a friend whose blind and a cousin who has one arm so I know technology can be adapted for anyone.

    I distinguish between good (democrat) politicans, and bad (republican) politicians. I will admit thought that there are exceptions to this rule.

    This kind of junk from left-wing hacks is just the reason why Independants like me will never embrace the left.

    A political campaign is different than combat duty and you know it. I embrace and applaud the sacrifice of John Kerry, Bob Kerrey, John McCain, Bob Dole, et.al. Patriotic honor and duty knows no party line in my book. A hero is a hero, be they blue or red.

    This is the most disgusting thing I have ever read. Whoever did post it, I praise God they are on my ignore list. I'd like to think LeBuick didn't say it, but I'll not investigate it any further.

    Maybe the person who posted it can tell us about their war injuries.

    I have no problem calling him/her a hateful hack. And if, God forbid, their children get drafted by this administration they get shown more grace than they displayed.

    I don't believe the good ones and the bad ones belong to any particular party - and that there are enough of each from both the parties you mentioned.

    You're implying "Hero's" only come from the battle field. I don't believe that, God didn't make all of us to be warriors so a hero to me is one who gives the best of their service in any field. The teacher who gives time before and after school to see the kids succeed, a restaurant owner who gives free meals to the needy and yes a Harvard grad politician who could easily be making tons of money on wall street yet sacrificed all that to be our leader.

    You cheat the system if you believe hero's and patriots can only be made in combat...
