I am a preacher in a missionary baptist church and the Lord showed me the truth about His pre-millennial coming and the rapture and some things about applying the Bible to my life. Now I feel led to join an independent Bible-believing Baptist church that is more committed to standards, missions and obeying the Bible because I cannot prosper in my current church environment. I can't share what I really stand for and can't preach what I really believe. So many of the missionary baptist churches are amillennial, don't preach standards and don't practice much in missions. The Lord is leading me to mission work in Germany because that's where I'm from. The current church environment is too much meeting, greeting, Sunday-morning Christianity and it feels spiritually dead to me. My wife, however, is very attached to people in the missionary baptist church because she grew up among these people. I don't get any preaching appointments anymore because folks know I'm not a Baptist brider anymore. What should I do in such a situation? I've asked the Lord about this. I would like to join an independent, Bible-believing church together as a family and just by myself. My wife likes everything about the Bible-believing church I'm talking about, but she fears the response of the people in the missionary baptist church whom she got so attached to. I know we need to obey God more than man. I don't like this spiritual "peer pressure" that is hindering our family and hampering my ministry. Please pray for this situation that we do the Lord's will. If you have a word of godly advice, please let us know.

God bless you in your desire to follow Him.

Just a question. Maybe it's just a typo on your part. But the Baptist Brider type of Missionary Baptist that I am well acquainted with would be very much pre-tribulational and dispensational, definitely not amillennial.
Also, many Baptists who disagree with you on eschatological issues do so because that is what they think the Lord showed them.

You might consider associating with an IFBC while your wife continues attending the MBC. Sometimes a wife responds to loving, confident leadership. If you're both seeking to follow and serve the Lord, you should be able to arrive at a unified decision.
