Sounds like you don't want it "fixed".

Yes folks, another off-the-wall claim by carpro, pulled out of his hat. Where the heck do you get that from what I posted? Don't you ever get tired of embarrasing yourself?

Abraham Lincoln had some advice I think you may want to heed . . .

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

Why do all your threads have to be condescending and ignorent. With the Junior and Daddy, we get it you dont agree with the Republican policies. Does that mean that you can not state your disagreement like an adult. You call names like a third grader on the play ground then get upset when somebody responds.

You should have applied Lincon's quote to your original post.

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

Speaking of your original post. What is the point of this thread? You just want us all to know that you can think of clever ways to insult people you disagre with.

    No, otherwise I'd insult you.

If you can't see the point, let me paint it for you.

Junior made a mess of things. His father's guys are having to come in and try to fix it for him. I think that is pretty clear.

The original post is looking for a fight. And then you insult when you get one.

That must be the rational way of conversing you told me about.

Curtis, between you and carpro, you guys are the king and queen of not getting it. The OP was not looking for a fight. It was merely a link to a story on MSNBC and my brief description of the jist. You righties are really something else. I just don't know what.

No it wasn't. It was a link, accompanied by a snide remark. Perhaps you are the king or queen of dishng it out and not being able to take it, eh ?

Why do you denigrate the loss of our servicemen by refering to a "little mess in Iraq"??

Your tendency to insult the President of the United States is known. Gloating to this degree, though, has not been as evident.

I am not denigrating the service personnel. Bush has done so by sending them to a meat grinder war for God knows what reason...he has given so many that we really don't know why he did it. And if my OP is gloating, you have a weird definition of that word. I am deeply saddened by this misadventure caused by the bunch of chickenhawks in DC.

Didn't come through then, isn't coming through now. Still appears insulting.

So you are unable to differentiate between our service personnel and the political administration in Washington. There lies your problem.

Yes you do. You have been on the wrong side of our troops, their CIC, and the war on terrorists that would happily slit your throat if GWB didn't keep them over there. You have so much to be thankful for in America's (GWB's) war on terror and all you can do is belittle and insult. And when confronted you simply call names like a child in the sandbox.

My original response mentions your insults to the president -- who is also commander-in-chief. I might also add that servicemen I'm acquainted with respect their commander and the office.

Beginnign with "Junior" and "Daddy" was at best ill-advised. A faux pas the likes we haven't seen since ... well ... sicne John Kerry last spoke. John Kerry also tried to defend a very unfortunate choice of words intended to denigrate someone else. Fortunately he apologized (somewhat). We will likely get no such apology from MP.

This was a silly way to start a post. You know it. Why did you do it? Why not say "The President is bringing in people from his father's administration to help fix the situation in Iraq." That would have been very clear and dignified. Instead, you stooped to the gutter of personal attack. And then have the audacity to say the righties don't get it.

When you speak the way you do "daddy, Junior, little mess" It shows that you are not capable or interested in an adult conversation. It shows you will never listen or consider the other side of the debate. It shows you are only interested in trading insults with no real meaningful conversation.

I speak with people I disagre with all the time. We disagre but make good points the kind of points that make a person think hard about their stance on the issue. But once the conversation drops to the level you bring it to then thinking stops and name calling begins.

Think about changing the way you debate. Pastor Larry gave an exelent example of how your thread should have looked.

If you would have said it like that we would have been talking about the policys in Iraq right now and not your insults.

You righties don't get it. "Daddy" is not the insult you seem to think it is. It's a bit jocular and casual, but it is not an insult - it is certainly not gutter language. After all, GHW Bush is the current Bush's daddy and Junior has seemed to resist his daddy's way of strength followed by diplomacy.

Thank you Daisy! And part of what I am getting at is the fact that W seems way too resistant to seeking the advice of GHWB, who, after all, has experience that could be helpful. Finally, with his back against the wall, the President seems to be seeking answers and advice. That is about the best thing I can say of him.

Well it certainly read better than it did the first time. And I happen to agree. It was a major mistake to stick with Rummy as long as he did, although Rummy inherited a military that was in shambles, and had nine months to do someting with it before it was needed.

But now, perhaps we can focus on what needs to be done. We cannot leave another potentially great ally to die the death they will, if we leave.

Nice recovery without acknowledging your original intent. Reminds me of Kerry.

Your original post was obviously meant as an insult to the President. This one is reasonable and makes a good point.

    Big difference.
