Jupiter loses a stripe...scientists baffled

Amazing stuff...

Jupiter has lost one of its iconic red stripes and scientists are baffled as to why.
The largest planet in our solar system is usually dominated by two dark bands in its atmosphere, with one in the northern hemisphere and one in the southern hemisphere.
However, the most recent images taken by amateur astronomers have revealed the lower stripe known as the Southern Equatorial Belt has disappeared leaving the southern half of the planet looking unusually bare.
The band was present in at the end of last year before Jupiter ducked behind the Sun on its orbit. However, when it emerged three months later the belt had disappeared.

Now...is this Bush's fault, or Global Warming?

Gotta love junk science...holds together just fine, until facts are shown.

Maybe it's a signal from some ET's; they want to begin contact, but want to be far away from us because they don't trust us. Of course, maybe old Jupe just puckered one of his lips.

Oh wow! World breaking news! I'm sure there are more important matters to be concerned about.

What does it mean? It looks like to me that the storm that created that line merged with the top line. does that mean the southern hemisphere of Jupiter is relatively quiet and not as stormy? there is stil the hurricane (red eye) there. Is the planets polarity changing? Does it have to do with the Galactice center? Is it reliant on activity from the sun? Is there reason to suppose it indicative of some change the earth may go through? Just a lot of questions.

Maybe its the first of many things leading up to December 21, 2012?
I have done quite a bit of reading on that date. It is thought provoking. If there is nothing in Scripture that disallows the possibility, then I generally have an open mind. For sure, things cannot keep going like that are in the direction and speed of events. It almost reminds one of the verse about the days being shortened to keep us from totally destroying ourselves. While it is something I do not give a lot of thought to, IMO there is nothing in Scripture that says there cannot be life elsewhere in the universe. Many on this board disagree with me.

With a name like saturneptune who would disagree with you on matters of the universe!
