Just How Do You Feel About the VERDICT in Florida!

There is one person, in particular, [on this board] who seems to be missing the real point about the Zimmerman verdict.

Because what is said in these OPs are public information, I am taking the Consititutional right to quote this person, from another OP on the subject of this verdict. This person said, and I quote, "But they serve to show that on this Christian board, the attitude being displayed by some, not all, is GLEE that someone was killed."

The person who he was saying this to, did an excellent job at pointing out that the debate is political, not religious, and that no one on this board was happy that someone's teenager lost their life in this senseless tragedy.

So, in an effort to try to calm down the accusations being hurled in the direction of many good believers on this board, I elected to conduct a poll. I doubt if it makes a difference in the mind of this individual, but it will demonstrate the mindset of those who have been accused of celebrating; racist hypocrites over Zimmerman's being found "Not guilty!"

Some black leaders are saying the trial was fair and just: Bill Cosby, Charles Barkley. The ones making a race issue out of it are Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton--enough said! I voted that the trial was as fair as any I've seen.

What Jackson and Sharpton and their ilk do not realize is that by making a fair trail with no discernible racial bias into a racial issue, they are like the boy who cried wolf. When there is a legitimate racial issue they have no credibility.

Haven't seen much of the coverage on this but what I've read in here, but now it's making news in Israel and some Jihadist groups are using it as an example of how bigoted America is.

From what I can see, the state he was tried in did everything they could to railroad Zimmerman, and according to Z's lawyers, even got away with a lot of things they shouldn't have that made the trial unfairly skewed in favor of the state, and they still lost.

What I am not seeing in these reports is the possibility that Martin could have attacked Zimmerman because of ZIMMERMAN'S color. Would Martin have attacked Zimmerman if he had been black?? I think that's a fair question if the issue is going to made about race.

As I've said before, you feel free to call me by name as I stand firmly on what I said. when the comments that have been about this dead young man have been made, you're darn skippy that I said some seem to be expressing glee that the young man is dead.

This should happen to more thieving, trespassers.

The only unjust thing is that we are having a trial at all. Zimmerman should have been congratulated and sent on his way. Martin's family should have been told to come take their gansta want-to-be son and dispose of his remains.

yeah if I'm not mistaken, it was some official in Iran making the statements. But he didn't say anything about the how bigoted they are against women and Muslims who aren't of the "proper" Islamic background.

....had Zimmerman been black, you can almost count on it to happen. The percentages of black-on-black muders/killings is beyond epidemic proportions in America. It is a tragedy, and no one is raising their voices in protest to stop this.

When a black-on-black killing happens, it is almost always on the last page of the newspaper, and buried deep in the obituaries [sorry for the pun, it was not meant that way].

To me, this is what Zaac should be screaming his fingers off [excuse the pun, again] for! Obama needs to do something about this, because in this case, it could be his child, according to percentages, the odds are high for a black-on-black killing! To me this is the problem in America, not the need to get justice for a person that was equally at fault in this incident!

trial is as fair a trial as i've ever seen. and I'm angry at not just the blacks who make this a racial issue, but anybody who does, and for the record, anytime the names of "Reverend" Sharpton or "Reverend" Jackson crops up, I lose interest in finding out whether anything just and fair will come up out of a certain issue. To me people like these are just plain, good for nothing rabble rousers who are more a liability to their race than assets, and now their company has grown with the likes of actors and actresses and such like who should stay where they are, no thanks to a president and his top lawyer who are just as bigoted as the two "reverends".

I would think though, with that kind of statistic, Martin might expect a black guy to have a gun. Martin knew he himself didn't have one, and I think he may be less likely to attack a black person at night time whom you might say statistically, the likelihood that another black man could have had a gun would have been a deterrent in Martin's mind until he was in a position to equalize the situation if necessary. Because of that statistic, I think blacks are less likely to initiate attacks on other blacks until they know they have the upper hand. Thus I don't think Martin would have attacked another black person, and believe that Zimmerman's light skin gave him more confidence to attack because he probably wasn't expecting a "white" guy in that neighborhood and that time of night to have a gun.

And certainly, if Zimmerman wanted to shoot Martin because he was black, why wait to get the snot kicked out of you first? That could have easily led to Zimmerman getting shot if Martin could have gotten to the gun. Why take that kind of risk when if it was racially motivated, he could have just pulled the gun out and shot him. To prove he premeditated such an attack, it would have to be proven that he expected Martin to attack him in order to justify standing his ground.

The Whole Mess Is A DISTRACTION

Frankly, I did NOT vote in the poll (because it didn't include a choice that reflects my opinion on the matter).....now...my opinion on the matter is that this whole racially charged MESS is just something that has been trumped up by the racist organizations like the NAACP and the SPLC and the liberal left-wing media (and of late our deeply racist President)(and other leftist politicians trying to pander to the extremist minority voters in this country). It has been contrived to DISTRACT the sheeple...er...ah..population from the more important issues such as the gross mishandling of our economy and the attack on religious freedom and the diminishing of our personal and Constitutional freedoms by government bureaucracies such as the (so-called) "Justice" Dept., the IRS, and Homeland "Security" (among others).
As sad as this case was ( and I am saddened that young Trayvon met his Maker in this manner and I know his family has suffered loss) there are probably hundreds or possibly thousands of other far more newsworthy and horrific crimes and incidents that are more compelling and worthy of reporting on a daily basis in this sin-soaked world. It's just that someone (or a group of someones) decided that THIS ONE could be exploited for the benefit of someone's agenda. Frankly, I'm sick of hearing about it everytime I turn on my radio or TV. There are more pressing and important things this country (and US as Christians) need to be concerned with or focused upon.:BangHead: We need to stay on mission and be spreading the Gospel faithfully . This country's time is running OUT. By the way....I strongly recommend everyone obtain and read Jonathan Cahn's excellent book entitled "The Harbinger" ! Now THAT is something to be concerned about.

:waveyrecisely.....there never was enough evidence to try him in the first place. There was a reason the Police did not initially arrest Zimmerman, nor the local District Attorney file charges. The appointment of a special Prosecutor was purely a political move, and the firing of the Sanford police chief was wrong and unjust. Governor Scott (and I otherwise am a big fan of his) BLEW this big-time, and he owes the Police Chief and the District Attorney an apology for what he did. That trial was over before it ever began.
