I checked your profile and read back through some of your recent posts to "get to know you" a bit. (I'm "new" back on the BB's after an absence, and have never posted actively.) I wanted to understand where you're coming from with your song. I'm an old-fogey-lady in my mid-40's, and not too wild about rap music (I'm having to assume this is rap, since I'm not young enough to know for sure. )
Reading the lyrics makes me realize that rap is just modern-day poetry (set to music, obviously), and so I have a greater appreciation for it now. And I am touched by the sincerity conveyed in what you have to say. You are obviously young and on-fire and speaking out about hypocrisy. I pray that God will use that fire to warm many souls. May God bless your ministry!

Music has really degraded if that is music.

 

Thanks for sharing gekko. Ignore those who only have a critical spirit. God is able to use all things to His glory, He does not reside in the narrow box of the legalist and hypocrites. You keep listening to the Lord and share as He leads you. Keep that heart for Him brother.

Asinine. Completely asinine. Some of you people are cruel. Gekko wrote something, and while he did ask what you thought, instead of "might be considered harsh," or "I don't agree with your views," you tell him he wasted his time and you trash his education. Real love is demonstrated here.

Maybe you should post some of your creative efforts on the board for everyone to ridicule. Maybe then you'll see. As for me, you've proven that your opinion on anything outside your box doesn't matter... at least to me.

 

It should not surprise anyone the level that some will go to around here to ridicule someone.

I think we tend to forget that not everyone on the BB is from the same walk of life or level of spiritual maturity. I would hate for a new Christian to happen upon the BB and post some questions and get lambasted for it. (this is in no way in reference to you gekko, just a general statement)

Good work gekko. I am not a rap fan and there is but very little rap I do care about. I could only imagine how this song would sound if it were performed and thought it did merit a lot of good possibility for those who like rap.
So you gonna try this out on a crowd?
