JUSTICE AND INJUSTICE.

Proverbs 28.28

28.”When the wicked rise, men hide themselves, but when they perish, the righteous increase."

Solomon mentioned the same theme in many other chapters of his Psalms and Proverbs, because this issue is very important and has to be look at as the most urgent matter of today’s life.

Looking back in the history it is not hard to find and to see the change in our global structure when rulers and governments constantly changing their countries for better or for worse, and depend on what kind of government took the power over the country, it is very visible what kind change is going to happen, for good or for bad.

The Bible itself introduces many examples of justice and injustice in human societies and instructed the readers to follow a certain pattern of the Law and justice in order to make society blessed and prosperous.

Some people considered the Law of Moses concerning punishment of criminals too harsh and brutal and I heard many negative remarks about it, but myself I firmly believe that the Law of Moses is totally just and righteous as the GOD Himself Who issued this Law to Moses, so he can give it to the people of Israel.

Unfortunately the criminal part of the Law of Moses hardly been enforced, but under certain kings of Judah and particularly under rule of Joshua, David, and Solomon, the Law of Moses concerning justice on criminals was in most part obeyed, and the peace and prosperity followed as reward for obedience to that Law.

GOD Himself many times executed justice, showing how it must be done and set as example for rulers of Israel to follow. Of course far not all rulers of Israel and Judah were GOD-fearing people, particularly the king of Israel who completely abandoned the Law of GOD and literally no one of them was a godly man.

But some of the kings of Judah hold on to the Law and some of them fear the Lord their GOD, and follow the Law as much as they could, not always to the end, but at least did not discarded completely as the kings of Israel did.

But under GOD-fearing kings of Judah justice was conducted as it was described in the Law of Moses and under such kings people prospered and leave at peace.

If we look at our modern times, we can also see many examples of justice and injustice in our recent history, and the wise words of Solomon immediately come to mind.

Indeed, when evil rulers rise the wicked and godless rise too, and it became the nightmare for all good people who have to hide themselves from the evil that rule over them.

But when good rulers come to power, it is the wicked and ungodly people who hide themselves from the justice and punishment, and because of it the godly people live in peace and prosper.

Unfortunately it is very rare when good and GOD fearing people rule, most of the time the wicked rule and rewarded with impunity for their evil deeds, and the good people punished for their righteousness and goodness. The guilty is not punished and the victim is victimized even more.

In other words, there is not justice there is no GOD and there is no peace for the righteous and godly, and this is the matter that Solomon revealed to us to deal with.
