    Rachel has eye surgery today. Or tomorrow, depending what time zone you're in. Let's just say Friday morning.
    Very minor, just gonna stitch up a muscle on the side of one eye that is too long and letting her eye wander. They said she'd be back in school the next day, which is pretty awesome considering the next day is Saturday!

    Still, she's gonna be under anesthesia for a few minutes and it's never a bad thing to have a little prayer going on, right? :thumbs:

    She's having it now. Had to call DH because we both were under the impression it was only on one but it's for both. She should be done in about ten minutes. She was NOT thrilled with the I.v. but survived and even got her giggling a second later...

    Thanks bros and sissies in Christ!

    She's home and on the couch resting. She wasn't too happy when she woke up but popsicles heal a multitude of problems for children, and since she was seeing double we just called it two popsicles!
    Gave her the remote and a bottle of blueberry tea and she's in 7th heaven. Have a feeling she's gonna milk this one. Can't blame her. I would too. :laugh:

    She's supposed to. Technically tomorrow should be a day just like any other but she's not following instructions. She's supposed to do nothing today, rest her eyes, don't rub them, and don't cover one up to read or see even though her vision will be double for a little bit.

    She is rubbing them, not resting them like we say, and kept covering the one up to look around. So she's slowing her healing process. Hopefully she's not causing permanent damage. She's old enough to follow the directions but we can't force her to, so unfortunately it's just going to have be a lesson in how actions have consequences and how we give rules not to be mean, but for her own good.

    She seems to be doing perfect. She's eating like normal, running around, although she said she's still seeing double, but she didn't say that until I asked and is having no trouble running or looking at stuff or reading so she may just be going for more popsicles. LOL The redness on each of the outsides is freaking Carl out so we're making sure to show him often. hehehehehe

    :praying::1_grouphug: for a complete healing!
    Dear Great Physician, Please help in the healing and perform a miracle on her eyes so she will not have double vision for very long. We know that You can
    do miracles and we ask for another one, in the name of Jesus. Amen

    Words of encouragement: We have a relatives who has a rare problem with his sinuses and vision. He has had several operations and just this last Friday had a very sensitive and delicate surgery. And after an hour and 1/2 the surgeon said,
    "This is better than perfect". To us as family this means a miracle! We are praying that this is permanent miracle in that he has good vision and does not have to his eye drained! PTL!!:godisgood:
