AMERICAN KIDS OFFERED TEN DOLLARS TO MEMORIZE TEN COMMANDMENTS
(Nashville, Tennessee-AP) -- A Tennessee man is offering
ten dollars to any American child, 16 or younger, who'll memorize
    the Ten Commandments.
Since he launched the Ten Commandments Project five years
ago, George Kelley says he's rewarded about seven-thousand
youngsters with the help of people who contribute to his
    ministry.
Kelley says kids are excited about the money, but the real
reward is learning right from wrong.
To qualify for the ten dollars, children must recite the
commandments to an authorized unrelated adult. The adult witness
then must sign an affidavit form they can download from the
ministry's Web site pledging that they heard the child's
    recitation.

Interesting. But I can't help of thinking about the Bible verse memorization in "Tom Sawyer."

Hey, I did the same thing when I taught 4th grade Sunday School. If any of the kids could stand up in front of everyone and say the Ten Commandments, I'd give them a buck.

    Call it creative tithing.
