I believe this is setting the stage for the establishment of the "mark of the beast".

There are obvious limitations with putting the verification on any media that can be lost, stolen or destroyed. With the technology in place today, the only sure way to maintain the validity of the certification is to put it on a chip implanted in the forehead or hand.

I dont have an Apple Wallet. The mark is something physical, a human number, so of something people will understand as a mark. The people who allow themselves to be marked are the ones worshipping the beast. Anyone who refuses the mark will be killed by the beast. So the mark while forced is still a person's choice to receive.
