Anything can be made legal. Just pass a law. The question is was it moral and right?

Joe the Plumber's personal information was accessed from law enforcement data bases in Ohio 3 times immediately after the debate. Investigations are underway to see if it was for legal purposes or if it was politically motivated.

peace to you:praying:

I am sure it was politically motivated and I wish we'd leave Joe alone. Any voter should be able to ask a campaigning politician a question which is all he did.

I also wish McCain didn't bring him into the spot light by mentioning him in the debates and at every rally. As long as the right keep building him up the left will try to tear him down. That's just human nature.

Did you guys hear Joe may run for congress?

If it were politically motivated, it demonstrates 2 things.

1. Some democrats willingly abuse their positions and break the law with impunity.

2. This kind of thing will be common practice once the democrats take control of both houses and the presidency and therefore can change the laws to make it legal to destroy those who ask the tough questions. That is the way it is in every socialist country.

I find it strange that you fault McCain for bringing him into the spotlight, but had nothing critical to say of Obama when Obama mocked Joe in a campaign rally.

Even now, you just dismiss violations of privacy laws as "human nature...it's going to happen" and seem to be saying, "don't mention Joe the plumber so the dems won't be forced to break the law in their attempt to tear him down."

peace to you:praying:

More illegal activity from the culture of corruption in the Democratic party.

Alls I can says to both of you's is 1. I am unaffiliated and 2. I don't think illegal activity is limited to one party. If I recall, Richard Nixon was a Republican... We also found Republican's in Cali changing people party affiliations. They also tried to close polling places in IN and OH which would have left those majority Dem residents with no place to cast their votes.

This elections seems to be bringing the worst from both sides which makes me glad I don't belong to either party.

This statement wrongfully makes the conclusion that this illegal activity is party specific instead of properly putting the blame on certain people within the party. I'm not defending the Dem's because I think old Joe got a raw deal but your accusation is broad when the incident and illegal thinking is narrow.

And more to come if they win.

If McCain had of discussed issues and explained his policies/views instead of empty statements like this then he might be higher in the polls. This statement sums up the entire Republican campaign. Trying to scare someone into voting republican by calling them names or implying how out of control things will be under one party control just isn't working. I wish you guys could find a new play book.

By the way, I voiced my concern in a previous thread about the Dems having absolute control of both houses and the white house. I agree there should be checks and balances from both sides when make new legislation. It just seems America isn't responding to the usual Karl Rove scare tactics and are looking for someone saying anything of substance and this election that seems to be the Dems.

The Dems ran in 2006 on a party line of "We will clean up the culture of corruption coming from the Republican party". But it doesnt surprise me that libs forget that one what with selective memory and all.

That is an accurate evaluation.

I stand corrected.

Yes I've heard of it. I've also heard that in this post 9/11 world that the state needs to know it's citizens every move and thought. For our "safety and security". Flash Back to...Total Information Awareness.

This isn't about democrooks vs republicruds it's about the one world big brother nanny state vs the people of the United States of America. If it's okay for the republicruds to spy on American citizens with no probable cause why shouldn't the democrooks be able to do the same? I mean c'mon let's be fair and equitable about handing the state power it shouldn't have over us.
