I love the Left Behind series and if you do to share with me talk with me. I want to talk about story lines, and events, and news dealing with the books. I read one book in the summer it was right before book 6 came out and got hooked and read all 6 in one summer. I love the series gives excitment to Revelation and really when there is so much trash for books these are awesome. OK Left Behind news: There is a new spin off series uses same big Characters (anti christ, some big ones from orig. series) and but does the view on what the military is going through. It looks really good. Then there is another series coming out (mom better come through with allowence [IMG] ] It is about before the rapture and it just written by Jerry B Jenkins no Tim. It looks awesome go to official left behind site and check out commercial for it. And then (yes one more) there is a political spin off series about what politicians go through during this time. So i challenge you dedicated Christian Left Behind fans dont get left behind when it comes to the new books. Oh and one more thing the last book of the orig. series comes out in march it will be AWESOME. God bless talk to me share chat, what ever

I read the first 8 books. By the time the ninth came out, I became convinced from reading Scripture that the pre-trib rapture scenario was unbiblical.

    Hello, Dallasdid,

Unfortunately, you are going to find many on the Baptist Board who are quite Anti-Left Behind, for varying reasons. Just keep that in mind.

Myself, I have enjoyed the books in that I share your view that they have well-dramatized the events of the End Times. And as a Pre-Trib Baptist, I appreciate the message all the more. I just finished the latest book, "Armageddon," and am looking forward to the next book in 2004.

I am not surprised that these people will keep coming up with more and more series - they make money on them. And as long as they make money on them, they will keep writing them. If they quit making money on them, then they will quit writing them.

I am sickened and disgusted that other pretribbers preyed on so many people with their pseudo-pretrib doctrine.

    Tim LaHaye is sick.

When I think of Bible scholar and one qualified to co-author a book on pretribulation theology, I always think of Jerry Jenkins.

Like the books or hate them (I happen to like them, but the repition in them drives me crazy), there are many non christians reading them and asking questions as a result. I think that many have come to the Lord as a result. Fortunately whether you are pre trib, post trib, pre mil, post mil or a mil matters not a whit as far as salvation is concerned.

I liked the books in the beginning. Not because they are beautifully written, but because they dared speak about God to the non Christian.

I think they're great. While I don't necessarily follow to agreement all of the theories on how it will be, I think they are wonderfully written, and I know of at least 10 different people I have talked to about the coming tribulation... and it resulted in their acceptance and belief in Christ. So, good or bad, God is using it to make a difference in at least a few lives. Just my humble opinion. [IMG]

I've been reading the things just to see what is going to happen. The authors are sure making money by churning out several "sequels" and that upsets me. End it already!
There are other Christian multi-series out there now and (for now) I simply refuse to buy any one of them. Secular or religious, I don't care for sequels...it's nothing but a built-in-milk-cow-conspiracy!!!
Sigh...the authors and publishers (and friendly reviewers) say that people are getting saved. Well, I pray the salvations are genuine.

You might want to save your money and invest in indoor plumbing.
