Not a conspiracy.

The reverse, sometimes referred to as the spiritual side of the seal, contains the 13-step pyramid with the year 1776 in Roman numerals on the base. At the summit of the pyramid is the Eye of Providence in a triangle surrounded by a Glory (rays of light) and above it appears the motto Annuit Coeptis, or "He (God) has favored our undertakings." Along the lower circumference of the design appear the words Novus Ordo Seclorum, or "A new order of the ages," heralding the beginning of the new American era in 1776.

How about the fact that it is only a one letter difference from adding up to 666! You never hear about this one; not even from the conspiracy theorists and numerologists!

Novus Ordo Secolorum (5+5+500+100+50+5= 665!) The "M" is 1000. But that value was added later. In English, we could then use the additional "eye" for the remaning value of one.

Be thankful for small favors.

First of all - I think we can all agree that having a pyramid, under "the all seeing eye of God" with the words "New World Order" at the bottom of the diagram is NOT the most "Reasonable" set of symbols to represent the U.S!

So whatever the source for that was - it sure does not fit the normal curve for American symbols of government, religion, business or culture.

In Christ,

Bob

I have seen more than one interpretation of these symbols, each different than the other. Some horrible, some pleasant. Meaning is in the mind of the interpreter, methinks, not in original intent.

Doesn't your statement amount to, it was put there for one distinct reason by the original author but you can make it mean what you want it to mean???? That's not fair to the creator. I can say it has demonic connotations which now implies the creator put it there for demonic reasons.... This is clearly not so...

Of course. The designer incorporated the Great Seal into the $1 bill, with the specific intent to convey a message. Others have come along and applied everything from mild comments to outrageous distortions. Just as "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," purpose and intent is in the mind of the viewer, especially those who have never concerned themselves with what the design conveyed to Congress in 1782.

I have seen more than one interpretation of these symbols, each different than the other. Some horrible, some pleasant. Meaning is in the mind of the interpreter, methinks, not in original intent.

I should have written:

I have seen more than one interpretation of these symbols, each different than the other. Some horrible, some pleasant. Meaning is in the mind of the interpreter, methinks, INSTEAD OF the original intent.

Obviously, the original intent is what we need to understand, not whatever jumbles around in the minds of interpreters, who usually see a bad guy behind everything that happens. Conspiracy theories abound.

Also, did you know that if you draw an inverted pyramid over the top of the one on the back of the one dollar bill to form a six-pointed star each point (except for the eye) will point to letters spelling the word
M-A-S-O-N.
Coincidence?
(A friend who is a Mason showed me this. He wasnt supposed to show me that. Now I have to go into hiding:praying: )
