Does anyone know of a good CD collection of old Baptist hymns I can buy? I see the selections available and they are confusing, so many to choose from.

If after traditional style maybe try the Kingsway Hymnmaker series, or for modern arrangements the 25 Favorite series from Brentwood :)

(Unpaid ad for both series ;))

I would agree that the Brentwood "25" series is pretty good. There's also more contemporary versions available in the "Acoustic Hymns" series, also through Brentwood. Check out CBD for both.

Thanks guys, I'll check them out.

Good luck with your new baby Joshua, we were blessed with our son Nathan one month ago, and it is the happiest I have ever been in my life. God is so good.

Audio CD of hymns are availalbe - free to download here

I have recorded a large number of good ole fashioned hymns - on a regular piano, no digital fake sound - and have kept them simple.

One set consists of a number of them in two verses with a just bit of added fancies, but very simple, nonetheless.

Another set is recorded singing from my earlier days of congregational singing.

My third set consists of approx 200 or so - and they all contain an introducation and all the verses of that particular hymn - all so folks can sing along.

They are all free to download at http://www.paulsonmusic.com/

I have used the hymns listed by Mike Paulson above. They are very well done. We use them at our church when our pianist is out and at home for singing before our family bible time. They are well worth using. Hugh

sure go ahead - there is no copyright issue with me - there are a few klunkers in those hymns - I am not sure most would notice - although there is one big one that slipped by my final uploading... sigh.
