My dad pastors in Cloverdale Indiana that is where i was born and raised. We have a good friendship with Pastor Kevin and his staff. I again would highly recommend it.

 

Which one do you want to attend? W-H or TR?

Keep in mind that many churches are W-H and other churches are TR.

I have info concerning Baptist churches.

 

Pay no attention to Askjo's extra-biblical standards for churches.

There is no such thing as a "W-H" church. Askjo considers this an insult against churches who use modern versions of the Bible... none of which have any more to do doctrinally or spiritually with Westcott or Hort than Askjo does with the Catholic sympathizing head of the KJV translation committee- Lancelot Andrewes. In compromise toward Rome, he once preached that communion was both sacrament and sacrifice.

My wife and I were members of this church back in 1985, and my Grandparents were members for many years. They are/were a good church. At last visit, I still found them to be quite a sound church. I would recommend them!

Askjo, this is not a W/H thread. Start your own, please, if you wish to try to throw things off track. This is not the Version forum and I'm not a moderator, but I do know how to use the "report post" button to head off your antics.

 

There are many "W/H" Baptist churches and many "TR" Baptist churches. I can name Baptist churches if they are W/H or TR.

For example, in Bloomington, Indiana Grace Baptist Temple, can you tell me which one is this church -- TR or WH?

While I would NOT want to see this degenerate into a mudslinging contest....if I was looking for a church I would (personally) like to know where any given church stands on issues surrounding the Word of God.I would think that would be of primary importance in choosing a church since Gods Word IS the very foundation upon which our faith is constructed.Honestly...an MV adherent probably wouldn't be comfortable in a KJV church if they preached strongly in favor of that position.....nor would a KJV adherent be at home in a church where the Pastor preached out of any of the newer versions.It is a legitimate concern in this day and time.JMO

Askjo, I have corresponded with the pastor of Grace. I believe it is still the same man as it was several years back. He, if I'm not mistaken, was a KJV preferred. Lifeway in Elletsville is KJV, or was when my wife and I were members. Still, your constant slams at the Word of God in versions other than your preferred version is divisive to say the least. If I'm not mistaken, both are listed in Clouds church directory.

Don't know if they have a wild and loud preacher, but from the sermons the Pastor has posted, it looks like a solid enough church. I must say though, that I have no first hand knowledge of this church.
