Lord's Supper; Wine or Grape Juice?

Missionary told me they use orange juice in micronesia cuz grape juice is hard to get hold of.

I've never been in a church that used wine.

 

Grape juice here, because of the strong desire to abstain from alcohol. When I lived in Australia, the baptist church I went to used watered-down wine.

Ditto here!!! Except when a member of the Prep committee gets a wild hair to save money on the juice----and he buys the "Sam's Best" instead of Welch's!!

 

We use "kosher" concord, undiluted, having 12 parts alcohol--no third party verification required.

We would submit that the alcohol in the wine suggests purity rather than sin and that grape juice or any other juice suggests impurity.

The Lord's Supper has been adulterated with the doctrines of universalism and real presence. The real intent of "this do in remembrance of me" has been lost in legalism and pagan idolatry.

Wine or grape juice is not a test of fellowship with us--open/closed communion, however, will schism the body--always has.

Manischewitz wine and unleavened bread made and bottled under the strict Rabbinical supervision.

 

Standard grape juice. Yet there are some Baptist Churches here that use Wine.

 

Grape juice. I believe the Lord would not have served nor would produce an alcoholic beverage.

The bread&wine 'funding' in my church is pretty generous. So (within reason) I get to buy good breads and fine wines.

Alcohol is alcohol.

When did alcohol become leaven?
Some consider salt to be leaven.

Luke 7:33-34 "For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, 'Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'"

Innocent until proven guilty. Why don't YOU provide a reasonable and biblical explaination proving He did produce alcohol.

I believe the very nature of God the Son would prohibit Him from producing and consuming a substance that would be so detremental to mankind.
