After Oceanic Air flight 815 tore apart in mid-air and crashed on a Pacific island, its survivors were forced to find inner strength they never knew they had in order to survive. But they discovered that the island holds many secrets, including the intense howls of a mysterious creature stalking the jungle, as well as a polar bear, a marooned and possibly crazy French woman, a mystical boar, a mysterious group known only as "The Others," a ship called The Black Rock and... a hatch.

Anyone like LOST? Ever watch it? I bought Seasons 1 & 2 and love this show!

I like the show too. I get irritated with the reruns though. On another forum, someone kept asking why Hugo hadn't lost weight since they were on a deserted island and all. I just kept saying, "It's Lost! You want things to make sense?" They never did understand that on an Island where you see dead people, big people might just stay big . .

I'm hoping for the past seasons of 24 for my birthday and Christmas.

The answer is in two parts:
    1) They've only been "lost" for two months or so.
    2) As discovered in Season 2, Hurley had a secret stash of food.

I love this show! Glad to see someone else does too.

    I LOVE this show!!! :applause:

And while we may have been watching it for 2 years, the characters have only been "lost" for 40-50 days.

Some things are driving me crazy, though....

Who ARE those freaky "other" people and what's going to happen when they stop pushing the buttons?

ABC must have been listening to fans' complaints that Lost was plagued by reruns last season. This year will see the show open with six consecutive episodes followed by a hiatus until February. The remaining 16 episodes will then be shown without repeats (much like 24).

Well Halleluha! That was so incredibly irritating to make plans to watch the thing only to find out I'd already seen it twice

HAHA! iTunes here I come! I can't wait another year to find out what happens, and apart from cable, have no other option to see it on Wednesday nights!

    Warning: spoiler alert!
    ...

You do get to discover what happens if the button isn't pressed at the end of Season 2 - it ain't pretty. Still haven't figured out who the Others are yet.

    Sorry about that delay, Roger.

Let me go ahead and tell ya' how it ends.

No one knows. But, if you want to go to work for the psychological operations company that runs the island, I hear they are hiring . . . online at their website that keeps going online and offline . . .

was it just me or did there seem to be more commercials this year? It seemed like every 10 minutes (or less) there was about a 4 or 5 minute commercial break.

I told my wife that the "others" are Warren Jeffs followers, and they're scouting the downed flight for new wives for him. ;)

This is my most favorite show, I wouldn't miss it.
They have currently been 'lost' only 65 days.
Hurley didn't lose weight because he has a secret stash of food he hid when they found all the food in the hatch early last season.
The others are believed to be left overs from the Dharma Initiative, yet they seem to still be in contact with the outside world.

You can find out a lot on the abc lost boards, I picked up a copy of the map on the back of the blast door from last season there. Plus they give links to other stuff, like interviews with producers and stuff, they actually leak a lot, but nothing that reveals anything to you.

I thought the season opener was interesting, especially the teaser, where we see how the Others were living before Flight 815 crashed on the island. My only disappointment was the lack of any new info on Locke, Eko, and Desmond, who were in the hatch when it was destroyed (?) at the end of last season. Maybe we'll find out next week.

I just finished watching season 2 on dvd. I have to rent them because my schedule makes me miss them on tv. But I love the show.

I have a long wait until season 3 comes out on DVD so I am not going to look on this thread anymore. Dont want to find out what happens to soon.

My son, the preacher boy, brought seasons 1 & 2 home Thanksgiving for me to keep until Christmas. I'm half way through season 2. I realized that I hadn't missed one show in season one, but about 1/3 of the way through season 2, I started hittin' and missin'.

I hope I have time to watch them again before he takes them away. So much to absorb . . .

CK (Since we are good buddies, I just call him CK  ) your post took me back to the days when I was stationed in Germany, back in the '70 & '80's. All of the TV programs on American Forces Television were at least 6 months old. But when we did get them, they were shown in order, without repeats. AFTV did not have a "TV Season". When program "A" series ended, then program "B" would begin. Once program "A" completed another year of programing (in the States) then that would arrive and be placed in the TV schedule wherever there was room.

As far as repeats for Lost, actually, I'm glad they did that the first year, as I didn't get into the series until later on in the TV season

I've been watching this season on my computer. This is very frustrating as it keeps losing the connection. ARGH!
