Mac Printer Problem

    Well finally I have a problem with the Apple Mac!

    I went out and got a Printer, not having had one on this printer before. It is a Hewlett Packard deskjet 3550.

    When I install the CD, the Mac will not load the Drivers for the printer no matter what I do, I get an acknowledgement in a dropdown box that the printer is there, yet next to it, it says "Driver not installed", yet I have installed them several times from the CD, I have evendownloaded them from the net and attempted to install to no avial?

    Any clues on what I am doing wrong?

    O.K I have fixed it now, apparantly you are supposed to install the drivers without the printer cable connected! [​IMG]
