Mailing a Christian newsletter!

    When it comes to sending e-mail, modern ISP's love to gather the tares while rooting up the wheat as well. In order to prevent spam, they also prevent me and others from sending a Christian newsletter to a list of about 250 subscribers.
    ISP's nowadays block their port 25 and let you send only a limited number of e-mails.
    What can I do to keep ISP's from preventing me to mail out e-mail newsletters?
    In order to handle the growing number of subscribers on my list I thought about using the PostCast software to turn my own computer into an smtp server, but somehow that still requires that the ISP's port 25 and 53 be open.
    Are there any other alternatives for sending e-mail newsletters?

    I just group mine in groups of uabout 40 and send them to each of 5 groups.

    Hi Ingo.

    Have you considered using Topica to post to your subscribers? I had a newsletter a couple of years ago that had around 300 subscribers. Topica is free but they stick an ad at the top of your newsletter.

    Do you have your own website? You can put email list software on you web site that lets you maintain a legal Opt-In list. I let my clients send out their newsletters, as long as they use software approved by me on the server, and they follow the CAN-SPAM laws.
