    Biblical Pool Uncovered in Jerusalem

    A gospel that was thought to be "pure theology is now shown to be grounded in history," he said. -James H. Charlesworth (Princeton Theological Seminary)

    ==Your welcome [IMG] .

    There is a pdf article on the website of The Biblical Archaeology Society if anyone is interested in that. It goes into a bit more detail than the LA Times did.

    Man I love this stuff :D :D

    In Christ,
    Martin.

    The existance of the pool doesn't validate the miracle.

    "The existance of the pool doesn't validate the miracle."

    ==Historically the existance of the pool does two things.

    1. It links to Gospel of John to known history.
    2. It links the event to known history/geography.

    In other words it is yet another bridge that can be used to show the historical nature of the Gospels themselves.

    Martin.
