At Church we are going to start making VHS tapes of the services to give to our elderly/disabled members who can't always make it to Church.

Does anyone know an easy and inexpensive way to copy the tapes? I will need about 6 copies a week. Once VCR to one VCR would take forever to get all 6 copies.

Can I daisy chain three or four VCRs together without losing quality?

Can I use some from of splitter to go from one VCR to three others?

    Anyone else have any ideas?

Should work. If you get a four way splitter. If the quality isn't good enough you can get an amplifier at Radio Shack that should boost the signal. In fact you might look at an amplified four way unit, probably wouldn't cost that much.

Six copies? Have a one-to-one machine in the office and the secretary does a tape an hour - does not take much to push a button, and that is such a small amount I surely wouldn't buy an expensive duplicator.

And for $500 you can buy a DVD duplicator and not be blind-sided in a couple years when VHS technology goes the way of Beta (it IS coming)

Going that route, if you have a desktop computer that has a DVD player you can get a DVD burner IDE drive for about $40.
