The mayor of Lynn, Mass. says that some of the illegal aliens from Guatemala who are enrolled in her city’s public schools are adults with graying hair and “more wrinkles than I have.”

“They are not all children,” Judith Flanagan Kennedy told reporters at a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.

“One of the things that we did notice when we were processing some of these students coming in was that they were adults,” she said.

She added that the federal government will not allow school officials to verify their ages, even though one of the students turned out to be 35 years old.

Children and youth living in motels, hotels, trailer parks, or camp grounds due to lack of alternative accommodations
Children and youth living in emergency or transitional shelters
Children and youth abandoned in hospitals
Children and youth awaiting foster care placement
Children and youth whose primary nighttime residence is not ordinarily used as a regular sleeping accommodation (e.g. park benches, etc)
Children and youth living in cars, parks, public spaces, abandoned buildings, substandard housing, bus or train stations

So how did this translate into not requiring identification of illegal alien children to enroll in school and allowing adults to enroll in public education because no ID can be required?

The premise is that homeless people may not have the required items needed and little to no ability to access them, so do not deny access to education and services because of these difficulties. Again, a thoughtful idea meant to help but like any decent effort to help people, it can be abused.

There is a double standard being pushed on law abiding citizens. I can see one day that SPANISH will be mandatory to continue this trend....just like Obamacare.
