Meditation and Sanctification

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”

All your Heart, Soul/Mind and Strength in essence.

How do we engage all these together and effectively?

Nothing engages all these in us like Jesus Passion, by Jesus Passion you will Love with all your being.

Then it is simple, start by an act of Love. ‘ Jesus, I love you ‘

When you say this visualise Jesus present before you, you are only visualising reality, because Jesus said He would always be with us.

One act of Love is the beginning of an interior life with Jesus, because Love is a trinity, in it is Faith and Hope.

The Greatest of them is Love, because Love encompasses all the others. God is Love.

Now visualise Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, He is shivering and sweating blood, the entire weight of the ungrateful, ignorant world is on Him. In His Divinity he feels all the pain and sin from Adam to the last man, His Love and heroic heart will Sacrifice everything before the Father for the redemption and restoration of all things. Then the bitter Cup of rejection is set before Him, that despite His total Sacrifice, many would reject Him anyway.
In His great Love that wants all to be saved He recoils, He begs the Father to take this Cup away, but The Father has so ordered and willed free will to man. Jesus trembles and shudders as He takes this bitter Cup and drinks all of it in obedience to The Father, setting the cup sideways on the rock, there is no drop left to be spilt.

The moons cool blue light on Jesus desolate and limp propped up on a that cold hard rock. Say ‘ Jesus, I love you ‘

We can not Love Jesus more than to be with Him in His Passion. We can Love Jesus with our entire being, being with Him through His Passion for us, every painful step.

As we take up our cross in meditation of Jesus Passion, our hearts are enflamed, our minds are transfixed and our strength/ endurance is taken to the extremity.

In this total engagement with Jesus suffering we are in complete Adoration, Worship and Thanksgiving of God with our whole being.

There is nothing that lifts us up to the Heights of Love and Adoration of God than meditation on Jesus Passion, until by God’s wonderful Grace we are taken into Contemplation, and in Contemplation, He sanctifies us.

In Contemplation, we are taken by Grace to Jesus on the Cross in complete Adoration and truest Worship. We are made present with Jesus at the Greatest exposition of His Love and greatest exposition of our love.

Were you there when they crucified my Lord.

As we meditate on Jesus Passion for us, we make our best human attempt to reach out to Jesus. We make ourselves disposed to His Grace.

Only by God’s Grace are we taken from meditation into Contemplation.

Meditation is the human hand reaching up to God, and Contemplation is when God by His hand of Grace reaches down to us and draws us into Him.

“My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”, “ Hide not your face from me “

To seek His Face, is to seek His Presence.

To seek to be Present with Him.

“ Seek and yea will find “ , “ Knock and the door will be opened unto you “

By meditation on Jesus you attract the attention of His Grace, you are knocking. You start thinking of Him who is always thinking of you in great Love.

“ Be still and know that I am God “

In meditation on Jesus, we are being still, and seeing you from a distance, he runs to you. When you are still and disposed, he will meet you at whatever distance you are.

From your heart, because Jesus desires your heart, say this, ‘ Jesus, I love you, I am sorry for having offended you “

Love, humility and contrition He can never ignore.

You will see His Face.
