I've been using the beta for a few months now and it works well. Small footprint, very light on resources. Best of all is the price. ;)

Microsoft GIVING away something. Let me see, being my suspecious self I ask myself why? Why would they give this away when their new system is very expensive.

    Why?
    Why?
    Why?
    Why?

    Still have no answer

    :D Sometimes a diamond, sometimes a stone.

I haven't heard of anyone else with that problem yet. The forum I admin gets a lot of computer help traffic, so if it is going to be a common problem I will soon be seeing a lot of it. ;)

What are you trying to use it on: OS, CPU, RAM? How many background programs/processes are running?

Looking at Task manager, MSE is only using 5060K of memory on my machine. I am running a 4200 dual core AMD processor, four gigs of RAM, and am running Win7 Ultimate.
I look at it as MS's offer of penance for Windows being such a virus magnet. While Symantec and TrendMicro are dissing it, the reviews have all been great for it. MS bought an AV company for the product and rebranded it so it may actually be as good as the reviews say it is. I know I have had no complaints in the months I have used it thus far.
