I found this in Acts 8:
Does that mean the Holy Spirit was a gift Christians got only while the apostles were around? Was He the reason miracles and other supernatural feats could be achieved by Humans? If the Holy Spirit isn't "The Confortor" is He the Father then? Could we still recieve the Holy Spirit in the same way the apostles and the Chruch did back then?
Dr. Luke said:14one of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 The Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, 15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. 16 For as yet He had fallen upon they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
