The Spanish government announced that they had positively identified the coffin and remains of Miguel Cervantes, author of Don Quixote. He was buried in a church in Madrid and when the church was enlarged in the 17th century the record of the location of his grave was lost. Cervantes was born in 1547 and died in 1616.
