Mike Bloomberg: Another Party Jumper

According to the Wiki article:
Bloomberg served as the 108th mayor of New York City, holding office for three consecutive terms beginning his first in 2002. A lifelong Democrat before seeking elective office, Bloomberg switched his party registration in 2001 to run for mayor as a Republican. He won a second term in 2005 and left the Republican Party two years later. Bloomberg campaigned to change the city's term limits law and was elected to his third term in 2009 as an independent on the Republican ballot line.

Bloomberg officially launched his campaign for the Democratic Party's nomination in the 2020 presidential election on November 24, 2019, following weeks of speculation that he would join the race as a late entry.

The whole article is an amazing view of Bloomberg's beliefs and politics.

Like Sanders, he appears to me to be more of a political opportunist. Picking the party that gives him the best chance to win rather than on principle.

As I posted earlier, Sanders was a long time independent until his run in 2016 when he declared as a Democrat. After his loss (possibly from having the party steal the nomination for Hillary), he drop out of the party and became an independent once more until this election cycle where Sanders once more declared himself a Democrat.

Interesting that trump jumped parties, and gets treated as big time loser, and yet Bloomberg does same thing and is getting hailed as a hero by some dems, and they have a big problem with trump as a Billionare "buying the election", but not so much with Bloomberg!

I don't have a real problem with anyone who changes parties once. Could have been raised in a "Party Family" and then change due to convictions. This changing back and forth is what bothers me.

I would hope change would come from Biblical guidance rather than the winds of public opinion.

President Trump is a billionaire for the people, while Bloomberg is a billionaire against the people. Can anyone imagine Bloomberg being able to fill up a 15,000- 20,000 seat arena where people had to wait hours or even days to get in? I can't. The only way Bloomberg could fill up such a place would be if he paid them to attend.

...an oligarch [62 billion dollars] that intends to BUY the presidency....
Bannon has been saying Hillary will be in the race at some point. He predicted Bloomberg as well, and was spot on. Now there are serious rumors of a Bloomberg-Hillary ticket, which Bannon attributes to Bill’s engineering.

Sounds absolutely loathsome, but there would be massive amounts of money and media behind it, and tons of powerful political experience (or experienced political power). With the other Dem candidates so far afield, such a ticket might be made to appeal to a significant portion of the population.

Bloomberg must have a death wish. Hillary would have him declared incompetent before he finished taking the oath of office. On the other hand, birds of a feather flock together.

Bloomberg may care nothing for the power himself and might even resign at some point, perhaps much like they once rumored about Trump. Bloomberg may be all too willing to let the Clinton machine run things. His main point seems to be to beat Trump, whom he is purported to loathe.

Trump is known by his enemies: American billionaires, Pope Francis, Jeffery Sachs, Carlos Slim, George Soros, the UAW and other unions, Hollywood stars, the insane Nancy Pelosi, Brussels, St. Greta, jihadi psychopaths, Justin Trudeau, Russell Moore.....

Blow it out

Hey, you can vote for Sanders & Abrams because the Dems are not going to nominate one of the richest men in the world. They are for little men but not little rich men worth as much as Bezos or Slim. Besides, Bloomberg is a snob like Hillary and can't even pay people to attend his rallies. Would you like a high-paying job working as a Bloomberg consultant drinking little cokes on your break?
