Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, F3 the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Are these verses speaking to the Millenium or eternal salvation?

Is that possible since it was written to believers?

It wasn't written, or rather spoken to believers. Jesus was speaking to unbelieving Jews.

How can you offer eternal life to someone who already has it?

Jesus didn't write Colossians. How do you get an offer of eternal life out of 'we have redemption'?

I'm sorry 2 Timothy. I obviously got the scriptures confused. I was thinking of the verses in John in the other thread.

I know you're not on the ME side. I'll go back and read the OP.

Open mouth, insert foot! I feel dumb.

Redemption is a family matter. Only a kinsman can redeem you. It's not how you get into the family.

How about lets use scripture instead of just reasoning and be specific.

Last time I checked Ruth was still considered Scripture. And it's not that long a book so just look for the references to redeemer and you will see that the redeemer and the one needing redemption were family.

Are you saying that we (NT believers) were part of the family before we were saved? What family were we part of?
The kinsman redeemer was part of OT Law. What does that have to do with Gentiles?

Does your Bible not have Ruth or something? No I'm not going to lay everything out. You have already shown on enough occasions that you are not interested. Yet you constantly want to be shown more and more. That's what I truly don't understand about you folks.

You are adamant about it being wrong, but yet you keep demanding more and more questions be answered.

Go read the book of Ruth if you want to know.

    Nope.

The OT is full of types of NT truths.

The Kinsman redeemer is a "type" of Christ.

Sure. The word for redeemer is goel. It is used of both Boaz (Ruth 3:12) ans Christ(Psalm 103:4) the story of Ruth and Boaz illustrates mans need to have a redeemer. And since all of Scripture is Christ centered (Luke 24:27,44) we can see this as a type of Christ.
