I remember you mentioning this before and praise God for your faithfulness. Are you still involved in some informal capacity?

I applaud wwjd's enthusiasm at his/her age and wanting to respond to that call. A course that I found helpful for understanding the biblical call for mission and the history of cross cultural missions in general is Perspectives on the world Christian movement that runs 15 week courses all across the u.s. and the world. It is not a Baptist course but I found it to be tremendously biblical, historical and culturally sensitive. It may help you understand the impact of colonialism on the way the gospel was presented which is important in communicating with aboriginals.

I don't have any specific advice regarding American Indians but having to work in health care with aboriginal Australian patients is definitely not easy to cross the cultural divide and provide care. It helps that I am not white and don't speak Australian.
