Mlb noise

Should the MLB give us a "fake crowd"?

Or does that add to the loss of normalcy?

Some teams pipe in crowd noises for the players.

I was watching the A's game and could not decide what I was hearing (it was so low... Or my hearing is that bad).

Generally speaking I like the idea. Now, some teams are better at it than others. For example I noticed the Yankees have really got a good sound effects person. I didn't think much of the White Sox, in fact I couldn't tell if they even had fake crowd noise.

As the season goes on these people that work the sound effects board should get better at their job.

Doesn't matter to me either way, I won't be watching the wealthy and ungrateful America haters.

How about simulated fans in stands?

I don't like that idea. I don't mind the cutouts, but I would not like simulated fans.

For the most part the only thing you see are the stands behind the batter. I can deal with the use of fan noise just to have background noise, but I don't want to hear fake people cheering or see fake people.

If I want to see fake people I'll watch CNN :Laugh .

Mlb can go away for what I care. Mlb, NBA, Nascar,a NFL can all go defunct and make the world a better place. Huge waste of money.

I won't be watching or listening either way...and I truly love baseball.

That being said, fake crowd noise is a turn off to me. I have never watched many comedy shows on TV for the same reason. Can't stand laugh tracks.

MLB is the worst of the bunch. Slow and boring. Before its said, I understand the game. Its still boring.

Despite laugh tracks, I still love Sanford and Son.

You know, I don't think I even pay attention to "laugh tracks" any more. I'm not sure it adds to the shows, but I think that I might notice more if they were not there.

No. MLB is the best sport.

You can sit back and watch videos on your phone, take a nap, read a book, talk with a friend....and you won't miss anything because when something happens it is an event they do a replay.

Pretend it is 2019 and you are flipping through the sports pages and you see this. How would you explain it?

Are they playing the organ at least? I have listened to radio, mostly, so only used to announcers and the music. Perhaps the organ player was just being inspired by the crowd?

I watched a little of the Washington season opener. Poor music. Muffled cheer track.

Was so glad the storm came and the game was called on account of lousy.
