Never mind.

Justifiably banned.

Living in a free country is dangerous. I would rather take my chances with free neighbors than with any government.

The Constitution was written for a Christian nation. Its freedoms were guaranteed if people adopted the principles set out in the Bible.. We have largely abandoned those principles and this is symptomatic.
It seems God is allowing condemnation for our national sins.. We have sanctioned murder of our children, driven Christ completely out of most all government institutions, including public schools, and are now legitimizing, and actually promoting homosexuality. When the restraint provided by the "Body of Christ" is sufficiently countered, these things happen, and the nation we knew and loved, is brought down.. Just imagine when the "Body" (and it's accompanying restraint) is taken out completely, to meet Christ in the air..

Totally fallacious statements. The Constitution is a purely secular product of Enlightenment period thought, placing government not in the hand of a monarch under "divine right", but in the hands of "We the People"...a revolutionary idea.

Huh. I guess John Adams just didn't know what he was talking about.

Wow! How does such a view even come about?

The Constitution gave us the case law which governs us. But if what you write is correct, then we need a new shooting revolution to give what form of government????????

The very concept that government gets it authority from the consent of the governed flies in the face of the Biblical truth that government gets its authority from God. The is an idea of Western Enlightenment, not scripture.

Emphasis mine

But in our system, the "GOVERNMENT" IS of, by, and for the people, so why should this not be from God if He ordained it? You are putting Him in a box if you decide that He cannot raise up a republic form as ours that relys on the "people" to direct that gov. The fact that we have totally let the reins go from our hands (well, almost TOTALLY) to the politicians has zilch to do with the original formation of the republic.

We, as the USA, have probably been the most successful nation in history as far as the good we have done for the rest of the world!!

Sure we are far from perfect, but still and all the world as a whole has benefited tremendously from our missions, protection, generosity, immediate response to disasters, etc etc.

And even now, this is the place that others are immigrating to - not from! WHY?????????????

However, as we are studying Jeremiah in SS, it's hard to tell if he (Jer) is preaching to Judah or the USA; which I'm afraid is aimed at us today as we are nowhere the nation - spiritually or morally - that (IMHO) God founded nearly 300 years ago. So I think we are headed for the ash heap unless God decides, for reasons I cannot fathom, to grant us mercy and we survive as a nation.

What's going on?

IMHO what we are seeing are (mostly) young people who have never experienced discipline, who have no fear of authority, who do not believe they will be caught, and that if they are caught they can fast-talk their way out of any consequences. Law enforcement can only do so much when these people are not learning "the fear of God" (so to speak) at home, in school, or in the military. In that sense, John Adams was correct - "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Great answer! My thoughts were running in the same direction, but you said it well. :applause:

Thanks carpro. Just observation though, since I wouldn't know how to turn it around. In the old days I expect citizens would have just opened fire on a "flashmob".
