Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson understood "The Monster". But to most Americans today, Federal Reserve is just a name on the dollar bill. They have no idea of what the central bank does to the economy, or to their own economic lives; of how and why it was founded and operates; or of the sound money and banking that could end the statism, inflation, and business cycles that the Fed generates.

Dedicated to Murray N. Rothbard, steeped in American history and Austrian economics, and featuring Ron Paul, Joseph Salerno, Hans Hoppe, and Lew Rockwell, this extraordinary new film is the clearest, most compelling explanation ever offered of the Fed, and why curbing it must be our first priority.

Alan Greenspan is not, we're told, happy about this 42-minute blockbuster. Watch it, and you'll understand why. This is economics and history as they are meant to be: fascinating, informative, and motivating.

When was the Federal Reserve Act enacted by Congress?
    In 1913.

When was the graduated Income Tax enacted?

In 1913. Not a coincidence that is the same year that the Federal Reserve Act was passed.

Are income taxes related to the monetary system?
Yes, income taxes are needed to pay the interest on the money that is owed to the Federal Reserve Bank. Currently almost 50% of income taxes goes to pay the interest on the Federal debt, and the percentage is rising precipitously.

Two great books on this topic are:

Creature From Jekyll Island, written by G. Edward Griffin

Economic Solutions, written by Peter Kershaw

We need to repeal the Federal Reserve Act, and reform the current Federal Reserve banks to become clearing houses only, and prohibit fractional reserve banking. On March 17, 1999 Congressman Ron Paul introduced H. R. 1148, this Act may be cited as the 'Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act'.

By definition yes it is propaganda Daisy but then so is witnessing for Christ. But, this propaganda like witnessing for Christ is based on truth for the good of mankind and not the type of propaganda based on deception for the good of the elite.

Do you realize what that would do to the global economy?

    Two options:
    1. Wipe out all the currency that is currently in circulation.

    2. Purchase enough gold, silver, etc. to cover the amount of money currently in circulation. That would certainly be a shot of adrenaline into the precious metals market.

I really cannot see a way out of this system.

    Regards,
    BiR

    3. Sit around, wait for the crash and start all over again.

Of course by that time all the wealth will have been transferred to the elite and there won't be any left for we mere chattel to start over.

Prior to WW2 half of all Americans lived in poverty. WW2 + the GI Bill + the Marshall Plan + the freeway system produced freak economic conditions which will never return. When the effect of the freak conditions wore off the economy began to go south. Going off the gold standard kept the world from going into a depression and produced the humongus rise of the middle class.

I agree about the propaganda coming out of our government PN but, the Federal Reserve isn't our government it is a private bank that controls our government. And highly profits while doing so by sucking the wealth out of our nation and concentrating it in the hands of a few.

Yes I agree, the government is controlled basically by those who control the Federal Reserve. Who ever controls the money controls the people and the government. I compliment you on your ability to see through the lies and deception coming from the God of this world.

Thanks. I've always been skeptical of any enterprise that concentrates so much power into the hands of so few. Including the mainstream monopoly media. Which only serves to reinforce the deceptions played on by the elite through misdirection.

    Just my nature I guess.

So the Fed is private. So is the Post Office. Any money being sucked out is in the form of salaries and benefits.

Now that the U.S. Postal Service wants to raise the price of stamps again -- to 33 cents by as soon as July 1 -- a closer look at this organization would seem in order.

The USPS is a corporation with 800,000 employees and revenues approaching $60 billion -- rivaling the size of Ford or General Motors.

While it is now enjoying a $1 billion surplus, it pays no corporate income tax, no state or local property tax, no business or professional licensing tax and no business franchise fees.

It owns 7,513 buildings with 178 million square feet and leases 26,988 buildings with almost 100 million square feet.

Its vehicle fleet travels 1.1 billion miles a year, burning over 114 million gallons of gas.
The Postal Service can borrow from the Treasury at below-market rates, and it pays no dividends to shareholders. This kind of an operating set-up has prompted more than one economist to find it a strange kind of corporation indeed.

Free-market proponents would see it privatized before it sinks in a vortex of obsolescence.

Grover Norquist, now there's a name we can all trust. I wonder who's hands he had in mind to "privatise" it into? Exxon Mobil or Dutch Royal Shell perhaps? No wait...the Rockerfellers yeah that's it!
