Maranatha Online recently garnered recognition for “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs” in 2016 by U.S. News & World Report ranking n top 3% of USA

In terms of percentages of all colleges and universities, MBU's standing places the school in the top 3 percent nationwide and as the top private school in Wisconsin. Only five colleges were ahead of them in Wisconsin, all of which were public universities, and out of 42 private colleges ahead of MBU in the ranking nationally, none were located in Wisconsin.

Maranatha Online continues to expand its programs, offering online programs from high school--including dual credit--to graduate school.

There is NO REASON not to gain a top-quality biblical education to anyone sincerely interested with the on-line availability now of programs like this!

Full disclosure: I was involved in the founding of MBU in the 1960's and earned the first Master's Degree from their seminary in Dec 1970. My wife and all 3 of my children have accredited baccalaureate degrees from MBU as well.

So yeah, I'm proudly biased. :)

It is small. About 1000 students on campus in Watertown, WI (city of 23,000). Small external program, probably why that one-on-one attention gives them high ranking.

Maranatha is ranked #143:

Nothing there about "ranking n top 3% of USA". Where did that stat come from?

Huh? Herzing University (#79) has a higher ranking than Maranatha (#143):

Herzing? That is an online school with a lot of campuses. Not sure it was included in "Wisconsin", altho the computer training school began in Madison back in the day. I just got stats from MBU press release (presidential newsletter).

That is higher than I thought it was. But if they can field a football team, I suppose...

I don't hold a degree from Maranatha, but I certainly would recommend it, having attended there in the 82-83 year. Always intended to go back, but it just wasn't feasible at that time. I and my wife have both considered the online courses from there or somewhere similar. It truly is a great place. :) I, like Dr. Bob, am a little prejudiced. ;)
