The best-selling "The Da Vinci Code" is getting more criticism from scholars...this time, liberal ones.

An AP story says that conservative Protestant and Catholic scholars were the first to criticise the novel over its claim of being based on fact, but criticism is now coming from "decidedly liberal quarters."

According to AP: "In the liberal Protestant magazine The Christian Century, for example, church historian Mark Burrows says almost everything author Dan Brown asserts as fact is misleading or mistaken. He worries the average reader would not be up to the task of sorting 'occasional fact from overwhelming fiction.'"

Scholars see no proof for the legend that Jesus married Magdalene, among other things.

The book's author, Dan Brown, declines interviews to respond to his critics.

    I just finished the book.

What a piece of trash this book is. All Christians, liberal and conservative should criticize it.

Have you read the book that refutes it? "Cracking Da Vinci's Code: You've Read the Fiction, Now Read the Facts," by James Garlow?

I've read neither...would be interested in comments from other who have read either of them.
