“Effective immediately, O.F. Mossberg & Sons will not accept any future orders from Dick's Sporting Goods or Field & Stream, and is in the process of evaluating current contractual agreements,” Mossberg wrote in its statement.

“It has come to our attention that Dick's Sporting Goods recently hired lobbyists on Capitol Hill to promote additional gun control.” Iver Mossberg, the chief executive officer of O.F. Mossberg & Sons, said. “Make no mistake, Mossberg is a staunch supporter of the U.S. Constitution and our Second Amendment rights, and we fully disagree with Dick's Sporting Goods' recent anti-Second Amendment actions.”

Mossberg further encouraged its customers to look at the “one of the thousands of pro-Second Amendment firearm retailers to make their purchases.”

The gun manufacturer is just the latest in a long line of companies and organizations severing ties with Dick's. Springfield Armoryannounced it stopped conducting business with the store earlier this month.

“It is clear where Dick's Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, stand on the Second Amendment, and we want to be clear about our message in response. Their position runs counter to what we stand for as a company,” Springfield Armory said in a statement.

Please be aware that Field and Stream, the sporting goods subsidiary of Dick's, is in no manner, shape or form connected with Field & Stream, the magazine. If the magazine were to come under an outfit with such low regard for the Constitution, the crater left by David Petzal's brain explosion would rival the largest on the Moon.

Good Point did not know that.

I am very impressed. Years ago, the state of California outlawed .50 caliber weapons for civilians and the politicians were saying that only criminals and terrorists used them.

Barrett then pulled all the outstanding NG and police contracts in California saying he would not burden California with weapons that only criminals and terrorists use. If only all gun manufactures would do that.

Yes, was surprised that the hunting magazine would be against guns!

I didn't know they were different outfits, either. Washed my hand over Dick's, Springfield Armory, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are done, too. This is Dick's hill to die ton:

This issue transcends our company’s bottom line. We suspected that speaking out would have a negative impact on our business. But this was about our values and standing up for what we think is right..

Company is so stupid they destroyed inventory just to virtue signal. You know, this is the same bunch that bought intellectual property rights (meaning the online site redirected to Dick's) from Sports Authority, which went under right after they did the same thing Dick's did. But at least he is standing up for what he "thinks" is right, poor stockholders, poor Dick Sr.
