No dount another flop in the making. Did Cloud 10 actually agree to make another movie for Tim Lehaye after he sued them?

Groans...Can't they take the money and send it to some worthy cause like to feed the hungry, or give Bibles to Christians in closed countries, or even pay off my tuition? ;)

Joseph Botwinick said:perhaps they would allow me to write the script.

From a Preterist point of view?... Now that would be a movie!... Brother Glen [IMG]

I thought 'mocking' wasn't appropriate for Christians...

or, is it ok to mock anyone who doesn't read this site?

Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you. 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. 3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5 For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now [you] [are] light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit [is] in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose [them]. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.

So now we are not allowed to express our opinion of a person who exploits people's fears for a living and even come up with humorous satire?

Of course you're allowed to express your opinion. [IMG]

Am I allowed to say I think some of the comments on here sound 'mocking'? Or am I not allowed to express my opinion? [IMG]

As long as you are confident that the way you express yourself is right with God then you have nothing to be concerned about - right? [IMG]

I think that means - based on the verses I quoted - that you need to be convinced that your use of 'humorous satire' fulfills 'be kind to one another'.

It's hard for me to imagine humorous satire against other believers coming from the Helper, Comforter, Counselor, Teacher...you know, Him, the Holy Spirit...

However, if you think otherwise I'm interested to hear your views... [IMG]

I don't claim to have perfect insight into the ways of God - by no means!

Of course, you are assuming that a man who exploits people's fears for a living is a fellow believer. But, point is well taken.

Are you questioning Tim LaHaye's salvation? With all due respect I thought that was a no-no around here.

    So hopefully you weren't serious.

(I was just looking quickly for a statement of faith from him and couldn't find exactly find one but - check out his site's opening flash movie, if you have flash - lol :D )

Thanks for understanding what I was getting at, anyhow [IMG]

perhaps you'd rather see another 'american pie' release or maybe american beauty2?
despite what anyone may say about any of the left behind films or books, they give opportunity to share the word with unbelievers.
Id rather sit thru a so called 'bad' christian movie than anything the world has to offer.

I have never seen those movies so I have no idea what you are talking about. But I wouldn't really even go so far as to call the Left Behind Sham a series of "Christian" movies. Just my opinion though.

    Oh come on now people.

AITB, your just as guilty as anybody here of mocking, the way you question people's biblical stance, calling us not christian like because we don't visit the secular web. You may use nicer words, but the result is the same.

The Left Behind movie I saw was HORRIBLE. I am not interested in seeing another one.

Do you feel that way when we here expose false doctrines by the likes of Benny Hinn, or Joyce Meyers ? Is that mocking ?

    Hi Mr Curtis [IMG]

I don't think you understand what 'mocking' is.

    Maybe I'm wrong though.

It's not necessarily the content of what you say; it's the way you say it. It's what Joseph B called 'humorous satire'.

I didn't intend to mock people for not going to the Secular Web. I intended to ask thought-provoking questions and make thought-provoking comments.

However, if you think I really did mock anyone please quote back where I did. Maybe I did and forgot I did.

Suffice it to say that I try not to do what I don't like others doing.

I'm sure I fail, often, though.

I see nothing wrong with humorous satire.

And I definately don't view the Left Behind movie as a Christian one. I saw the movie right after becoming saved, & tore apart my bible looking for a reference, however cryptic, to missles being shot out of the sky. You know how many I found ?

I didn't hear Jesus mentioned, either. Maybe I missed it.

I didn't mean to sound as harsh as the post came out, for that I do apologize.

But as a fun loving kind of guy, I love a good satire, and have been known to become an active participant.

    Hi Mr Curtis [IMG]

I love fun too and I enjoy people who do.

I find that other some other Christians disagree with me about where to draw the line on making fun of other people. I take those verses I posted seriously; I see it as unkind to mock others or insult them and no less so if we claim "I was just making a point" or "I was just having fun".

If we disagree, we disagree. It doesn't mean I hate fun or humor; it simply means I don't like making fun of other people. I find it disrespectful and I don't believe it's of the Holy Spirit, to treat others that way, basically.

I do see your point. It's a good point.

But it really was a bad movie.
