Munich, a movie I don't plan to see...

    Michael Medved pointed all of this out a few days ago on Fox News. He also points out that the movie portrays one of the Mossad agents to have been tormented by what he had to do, in stark contradiction to reality which is that he was proud of the mission.

    I've been planning on seeing it since I heard that Spielberg (a jew, btw) was making it. I generrally do not, however, get my historical facts from dramatizations based on historical events. I respet Medved's reviews, but I also respect Spielberg's work, noting especially his great achhievement with the film "Schindler's List". I'm willing to bet that the truth itself lies somewhere between the two. I do, though, think that some have decided that if there is any mention of Israel in a way that's not positive, they will categorically denounce the film. I'm more likely to place those criticism in the same category as those who complain that "Memoirs of a Geisha" was a bad film because Chinese actors portrayed Japanese characters.

    Now, the reason I plan on seeing it is because I enjoy Spielberg's work, I enjoy dramatizations based on historical events, and I have an interest in the Olympc Games. I'm not interested in any political or revelationist agenda, and likely won't get one out of this movie.

    After I have seen this film, I will be happy top share a review of my own here on this board, as I did with Narnia and other movies I've seen.
