On the How to have godly, edifying debate thread, thisnumbersdisconnected said that Murphy's Law "applies to debate online." I agree.

For example, when you have spent several posts on a whole page preparing for a devastating conclusion that will destroy your opponent's point, that is just when the thread will be closed!

Just when I'm about to be resolute and not quit a thread just because I'm losing the debate or people are not being nice to me, that's when the thread will be cancelled.
