Mystical Body of Christ as The Church

    I'm in dialogue with Eastern Orthodox Christians concerning 'The Church'.

    Could anyone help me articulate the doctrine of the Church as 'The Body of Believers'?

    I see at as a tree.

    The Father is the Gardener, taking care of it all.

    The Trunk is the Holy Spirit.

    Then you have the branches, The elect. Who is reaching out with the True Vine (Jesus Christ)

    The fruit is believers, holding on to thier only Hope, who is Jesus Christ.

    Jesus is the head and we are the body
