And when I say "Baptist" I mean......... Independent, Fundamental, Premillennial Baptist.
I hope to find many like minded believers here. It has been my privilege to be raised in a Christian home and to come to know the Lord Jesus as my Saviour at a young age. My mind has been saturated with scripture from my youth. Before I learned to read I could quote John 3:16 &c.
Not that I haven't had my bumps in the road along the way, but through it all my faith in Jesus has remained. I am not in full time service, I was never called to preach, but I do teach and I study God's Word avidly. I have become concerned recently about what I perceive as apostasy in the "seeker" churches, and a falling away from the gospel in general, in part, or in total by different so called "evangelical" movements.
In short, I believe the Bible to be the true Word of God, and Jesus Christ our only hope of salvation by grace through faith.
Admittedly, I have not taken the time to peruse this board as thoroughly as one should, and have taken the risk of alienating some from the outset. However, I believe it best to set forth my doctrine prior to any subsequent conversation or debate that may take place.
I trust the dialouge will remain civil, I know it will on my part. I am fair minded enough to disagree without resorting to adhominem attacks.
In conclusion, I look forward to engaging the members of this board and learning and sharing in due course.
