I need help with email. For about 5 days now I can not get into my hoymail, which is my main email, and I also use it for selling on ebay. Which causes trouble since I can't get my emaisl from ebay.
When I log in it either one, goes very slow and wont log in it just keeps tring and goes no where, like that little blus line on the task bar shows it is still tring, but 5 minutes later nothing.
Or, after just a few seconds(which is what it usually takes to display any page) it has just an all white screen,a nd on the task bar it says done.
If I can get in, it usually won't let me into any mail, and if I try and click to go into mail, or click back if I do gt into something it does the white screen thing.
I tried using outlook to access hotmail, and it worked a few times. Now it will not download new email form one hotmail account and the other one it tells me it can not longer get the eamil and files from it as I need an upgrade, the upgrade is to the paid hotmail account.
I don't know what to do, all my address are in there, everyone has the hotmail address.
On the other hand I have no problems at all logging on to msn messenager, which is aprt of the hotmail account.
A coupl of others on here also have hotmail, one is having trouble, others are not.
I deleted all cookies thinking that would help, nothing.

It sounds as if the problem is not on your computer. Although, more than deleting cookies, you might try deleting your entire internet history and temporary files. These can be found in IE under Tools->Internet options

Another thought, if you have a bookmark to your email, you might try just typing in the address instead of using your bookmark. That way, if you have a bad bookmark (or they changed it) you would avoid hitting bad pages.

You can also delete temp files by going to Start, Search, Files and Folders, C: (if that's your main drive) and the search for *.tmp

When I had ICQ, I had not ever cleared my temp files that way. First time, 3,790!!! ICQ loads the history of every IM onto your hard drive as a temp file! Now I have AIM and never have temp files from it.

On Internet Explorer (which you have to be uing since you are checking Hotmail):

    Click Tools
    Click Internet Options
    Click Delete Cookies...
    Click OK
    Click Delete Files...
Check the box for Delete all ofline content
    Click OK
    Click Clear History
    Click OK

    Download Firefox
    Ditch Internet Explorer & Hotmail
Change to Yahoo.com, MyWay.com, or Gmail.com (several of us will give you all the invites you could possibly want for Gmail!).

    In Christ,
    Trotter

Deleted all internet files, history, temporary files. Disk clean up, defraged, and ran ad aware and deleted a bunch of junk.

I hated to but I switched to my ISP email, and now just have to get everything important going there, like paying bills online. All my church people have the hotmail addy, so I'm going to give my new ISP one to someone and have her send it out to everyone she has an email for at church.
I know somewhere I ma going to miss something, but nothing I can do about it.

Someone here volunteered to email hotmail for me to se if they reply with any help. Not sure they will, but you never know.
Of course everyone always says, 'it's your computer, not ours'.

Gmail is the answer - it now has POP compatability so you can download your emails to your email software if you wish.

No "bells and whistles" yet. You can't include pictures in the body of the email for example, but it stores 1 gig worth of emails. I use one for everything normal, and one for all online registrations, bill paying, online purchases, etc.

I have about 20 invites to give away.
