Someone didn't know I was saving the can and tossed it, but I love the simple brownie recipe on the Hershey's Unsweetened Cocoa can.

If you have a can of it, would you be so kind as to type it up for me? I tried going on Hershey's website, but for whatever odd reason, it isn't the simple one they have on the can!

The one I'm talking about has you melt the ingredients together on the stove before putting them in the pan to bake.

I just checked my Hershey can, and it doesn't have a Brownies recipe. I have Hot Cocoa, Chocolate Cake, and Chocolate Frosting.

Sorry, girl, I tried! I hope someone posts it for ya!

    Well stink!

I just made brownies, but they're not quite the same. They must change the recipes on the can. I'll check the store and see if I can find the right one!

It was a very basic recipe that was so rich and chewy...makes me wanna go dumpster diving!

Moe, that's the one I used, but not the one I had on the side of the can. They still turned out okay, just not exactly the same. Thanks for checking!

Thanks for checking Gwen! I didn't realize they changed recipes on the cans, unless I got it elsewhere and am mistaken.

Amy! My husband STRONGLY agrees with that recipe! I shall definitely try it out in the very near future. YUM!

If this isn't the one you're looking for go ahead and make them anyway. I'll be over after work with a jug of milk.

Supreme Chocolate Saucepan Brownies <-- Link to Hershey's web site

    Ingredients:

    • cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1/2 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
    • 4 eggs, beaten
    • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Chips or HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
    • 1/2 cup MAUNA LOA Macadamia Baking Pieces
    Directions

    1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 13x9x2-inch baking pan.

    2. Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Add sugar and cocoa; stir to blend. Remove from heat. Stir in eggs. Stir together flour, salt and baking soda; stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in vanilla, chocolate chips and nuts. Spread in prepared pan.

    3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan and begin to crack slightly; do not underbake. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. About 24 brownies.

Note: I just noticed Amy posted a link to the same recipe. Amy, you can make a batch too. I'll just have to buy more milk.
