Need help with settings...

    I just got broadband last week and I need to know how to set it the way I want it.

    When I had dial-up, my grandson could use the computer without going online (which I don't allow him to do).

    When I put my password in, I automatically go online and don't know how to change that.

    How can I set the computer so my grandson can play his games without going online?

    Can anyone help?

    If you're on Windows XP (or 2000 or NT) or Mac OS X or Linux, you can create an account for him which doesn't have internet access.

    If you're on 95/98/ME - you're online all the time.

    Of course, if he's young, you could just unplug the network cable...
